Linda Teeter, Executive Director
Ms. Linda Teeter brings over 25 years of experience in political and community organizing. She served as a Legislative Aide to the former Michigan Representative Mary Brown for over 10 years, and has served in her current capacity with MCEF since 1995. Ms. Teeter has an extensive background in coalition building and issue organizing, and is trained in the Midwest Academy’s philosophy on organizing. She is considered a leader in the field, and is a former 3-term, Kalamazoo City Commissioner.
[email protected] Erin Knott, Deputy Director
Erin Knott provides direct oversight of MCEF’s programs. She has over 10 years experience in community organizing and building the capacity of non-profit organizations. She was employed with the Local Initiatives Support Corporation for over 8 years, and has extensive experiences working with diverse populations and organizations. Ms. Knott has a demonstrated track record as a project manager and grant writer, and has proven abilities to coordinate volunteers and move people forward on a common cause or project.

Legislative Director Adam Knott brings to MCEF experience in organizing, planning, and executing various grassroots activities. Mr. Knott’s desire to actively engage in local, state, and national political and civic campaigns prompted his shift from a career in the financial services sector to MCEF in 2007. Mr Knott utilizes his background in the financial services sector analyizing the economic implications of issues and legislation. He in now spending most of his time in Lansing working directly with the legislature on current issues.
